How is reading time worked out?
At about 200 words per minute for reading and about 130 for speaking. These are guide values – depending on the text and your pace it takes more or less time.
What is speaking time for?
For presentations, talks and speeches: you see in advance whether your text fits the time you have.
Is my text stored?
No. Counting happens in your browser and your text is never sent – good for unpublished work and applications.
Does it count exactly like Word?
Mostly, yes. Hyphens, numbers or special characters can cause small differences, so leave a little room for strict limits.
