Good to know
How long should a password be?
At least 12 to 16 characters. Length helps more than odd symbols. A password manager remembers them all for you.
Is the password stored anywhere?
No. It’s created on your device with the random generator your browser also uses for encryption, and it’s never sent or stored. Close the page and it’s gone.
Can I use one password for several accounts?
Better not. When one service is hacked, attackers try the same login elsewhere. Give every account its own password.
Why leave out similar characters?
It skips characters that are easy to mix up, such as l, I and 1 or O and 0 – handy if you have to type the password by hand or read it out.
