Compress PDF

Make your PDF smaller when an email attachment is too big or a portal has a size limit.

Strength

Photos inside the PDF get smaller, text stays selectable.

The tool runs in your browser. Your files are not uploaded and not stored.

How to

  1. Tap “Choose PDF”.
  2. Choose “Light” (text stays selectable) or “Strong” (much smaller, pages become images).
  3. Check the size before and after, then tap “Save PDF”.

Good to know

“Light” or “Strong”?

“Light” shrinks the photos inside the PDF while text stays text – selectable and searchable. “Strong” saves every page as an image: much smaller, but you can’t select or search the text afterwards.

Why is my PDF barely smaller?

Text-only PDFs are usually small already, so “Light” does little there. It helps most with PDFs full of photos or scans. If it must be smaller, use “Strong”.

Is it suitable for job portals and official forms?

Yes, that’s what it’s for: many portals only accept files up to a certain size. After compressing, check that everything is still easy to read.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Compression happens in your browser – good for contracts, payslips and other confidential documents.
